This planning effort contributes to meeting goals and obligations under the fair housing rules to affirmatively further fair housing. The requirement to affirmatively further fair housing is a condition of receiving funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The regional fair housing plan is a five-year plan that will cover 2025 through 2029 and aligns with the communities’ five-year Consolidated Plan process, which the communities plan to complete by June 30, 2025. Your feedback on potential actions to be taken under the plan to address fair housing concerns is requested!

Here’s how you can help with chances to win a $100 gift card!

By attending a community meeting, participants will be entered into a  raffle to win a $100 gift card.  By participating in the separate online survey, respondents can enter a raffle for a chance to win one of two $100 gift cards.  Your participation is all that’s needed for a chance to win!

Attend a community meeting!

Communities across the county are hosting in person and virtual meetings.  Residents have six opportunities to attend! These meetings will be facilitated discussions around the draft report findings, proposed actions to address them, and other fair housing considerations. Please share the word about these meetings and encourage others who may have valuable input to attend. Registration is not required to attend an in-person meeting and all residents are welcome to attend.  To attend a meeting virtually via Zoom on September 11 or 12, register https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=NWjEpVLSWkajWb4kAxkDtRt-grjZvXpFqU8L6rm09thUMVBNTlpGUlJLTkNXQURITzRKQjlMRFVJNi4u

Your participation in the survey https://form.jotform.com/242004685079054 will help us gain a more qualitative understanding of the experiences, opinions, and feelings of community members on fair housing topics. We also ask that you share this survey with your family, friends, and other contacts! We hope to reach residents across Alameda County with this survey – especially those most in need of assistance. This survey will close on September 13, 2024.

Accessibility accommodations are available.

Accessibility accommodations for the community meetings and community survey are available. If you need accommodations, including but not limited to translation services, then please reach out to atester@tdainc.org.
