Below is basic information related to waitlist eligibility for assistance programs at the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda.

Are there any wait lists currently open at AHA?

No.

Who can apply to an open waitlist?

Anyone can apply, but the Household must meet some eligibility criteria. One eligibility criterion is determined based on the total annual gross income and family size.

Will I get housing if I submit a wait list application?

Submission of a waitlist application does not guarantee placement on a waitlist, eligibility, or an offer of housing.

Do I need a social security number to apply to a waitlist?

No, however, if any household members have an assigned Social Security Number, it must be disclosed on the application. If Applicants do not have a Social Security Number, follow the directions on the application.

Does an applicant have to pay to apply to a waitlist?

No! There is no cost to apply to a waitlist and a credit report is not needed to apply.

AHA MAIN OFFICE DAILY HOURS SCHEDULE CHANGE:

The new daily hourly schedule at AHA’s main office is now 8:30am to 3pm, Monday through Thursday.  Please also note that AHA’s main office will be closed from 12:30 to 1pm, Monday through Thursday.

AHA Offices are closed to the public every Friday.
