MEET OUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS
The Board of Commissioners is the highest policy-making body of the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda. The members of the Board also make up the City Council plus one tenant commissioner. The Board has appointed a seven-member Housing Commission to establish policy for most of the Authority's day-to-day operations. Two members of the Housing Commission are residents of Authority complexes, one of the two being a senior.

The Housing Authority also has a Chief Executive Officer, who also is the City Manager of the City of Alameda. Our CEO is Debra Kurita.
The Housing Authority's legal counsel is also the City Attorney of the City of Alameda.
The City Attorney and our Legal Counsel is Teresa Highsmith.
